FAQ
Is this financial advice?
No. Oakspan is a free illustration published by Upcott Studios. It is not a personal recommendation, and it cannot see your health, other wealth or scheme rules.
No. Oakspan is an illustration. You type the inputs. It applies the rules described on this site and draws a chart. It does not know you, and it does not tell you to buy, sell or transfer anything.
It cannot see your health, your dependants, your mortgage, your tax code, your employer’s matching rules, exit charges, protected tax-free cash, a guaranteed annuity rate, or whether a defined-benefit transfer would be a disaster. Two people with the same pot can need opposite answers. A calculator that pretends otherwise is not being careful.
Who publishes it, and where to get guidance
Oakspan is published by Upcott Studios. Contact is [email protected]. The studio builds free calculators and guides. It is not acting as your adviser.
For free, impartial guidance, use MoneyHelper (which includes Pension Wise appointments). For a recommendation that takes your whole situation into account, use a financial adviser who is regulated to give pension advice. Read the assumptions before you treat a number as a plan, and the privacy page for how the figures you type are stored.
